This workshop provides pupils making the transition from primary to secondary school with the skills to hit the ground running from the start.

• ‘frenzy’: a fun and interactive game to help pupils adapt to their new timetables

• goal setting and visualisation: the importance of setting goals for achievement and visualising successful attainment of these goals

linkmapping: a new way of taking notes that are easy to access and encourage successful recall

managing transition: enabling pupils to approach their move to secondary education in a positive and enthusiastic way

supporting each other: highlighting the benefits of having a peer group support network

relaxation: a useful life skill to enable pupils to maximise their learning potential
