This fun and engaging workshop enables students from Years 9 13 to explore the consequences of some of life’s major financial decisions, and to understand the importance of making informed choices.
which character?: the group is divided into 4 smaller groups, each of which will represent a fictional character who chooses a certain path in life
the journey: students will accompany their character on a journey through 4 key life stages, exploring the consequences of the financial decisions they must make along the way in the form of a series of activities
summary: the 4 groups will come back together and share what they have learned about the consequences that result from the decisions made
conclusion: by the end of the session, students should have developed an understanding of some of the major financial decisions they will have to make, and will have discovered how to obtain the kind of information they will need to make those decisions in an informed way
