The ‘A’ Factor workshop outline

This workshop takes Year 9 students on a fun and interactive exploration of learning styles and memory techniques, equipping them with invaluable skills in preparation for Year 11 and beyond!

learning styles: an introduction to learning styles, illustrated with mini activities which get students active and involved from the start.

substitution: a fun competition in which students substitute curriculum words for words which are relevant to them, and are therefore easier to remember.

memory techniques: students will experience 3 specific techniques designed to support each type of learner.

skimreading: an incredibly useful and effective skill which students can put into practice immediately. This exercise never fails to impress!

life maps: a creative and engaging goalsetting exercise, enabling students to understand the link between working hard and reaching their goals.
